Recent reports claim that Inter are among the clubs interested in offering a deal for the available Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa, who could be allowed to leave his current club as early as January.
Martinez, the first goalkeeper to win the Yashin award twice, winning it back-to-back in 2023 and 2024, could finally be set to leave Aston Villa in January according to reports in the UK.

The Argentine’s future has been unclear since the summer transfer window, when it was reported that Manchester United were keen to add the 2022 World Cup winner to their ranks, before ultimately settling on the signing of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.
However, according to reports from Football Insider, a series of dominos could fall during the January transfer window that could result in Martinez leaving Villa Park.
Football Insider reports that Aston Villa are willing to accept bids for Martinez during the January transfer window and that Inter are keen to submit an offer.
Yann Sommer will be out of contract at the end of the 2025-26 season and as things stand, is unlikely to pen a renewal given that he will turn 37 in December.

The Nerazzurri already have a Martinez in their goalkeeping ranks – Josep – But it remains to be seen whether he will continue to serve as an understudy, or whether he is looking to replace Sommer as Inter’s no.1
Football Insider claims that Inter are interested in Emiliano Martinez, but Villa will need to bring in a replacement first. Thursday’s report claims that they are keen on a deal for Manchester City’s James Trafford, who immediately fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola following the arrival of Italy no.1 Gianluigi Donnarumma.
