Serie A rivals Inter Milan and Juventus are both targeting departing Roma wingback Zeki Celik ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio via L’Interista, the 29-year-old could be the subject of a transfer tug-of-war between the eternal rivals.
Celik has set one foot outside the Stadio Olimpico, with Roma reluctant to extend his expiring contract.
Therefore, the former Lille star will become a free agent in June. On the other hand, Bosman signings have been Beppe Marotta’s signature mark at San Siro.
Meanwhile, Inter and Juventus have been scouring the market for defensive reinforcements, with Celik’s availability drawing their attention.
Inter are keen to find a suitable long-term replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who could leave the club in the summer.
However, Cristian Chivu looks set to allocate a large portion of the budget for a defensive overhaul, with several veteran stars on their way out.
As such, Celik would be a decent option for the Nerazzurri, considering they wouldn’t have to spend a dime to secure his services.
Still, Inter may have to beat Juventus in the race to sign the Turkish ace, as the Turin giants keep close tabs on the outgoing Roma wingback.
