Inter Milan have opened up surprise contract extension talks with Joaquin Correa.
This according to Argentine football reporter German Garcia Grova. He reports in a Twitter post that if the 30-year-old doesn’t agree a new deal with Inter, his likeliest destination would be Estudiantes.
As things stand, forward Joaquin Correa is under contract with Inter until the end of June.
The Argentine is still on the same four-year deal that he signed when he joined from Lazio in 2021.
Correa has never really lived up to expectations at Inter.

Injuries and patchy form have prevented the former Sevilla and Sampdoria striker from reproducing the kind of form he had shown under Simone Inzaghi at the Stadio Olimpico.
Correa had been expected to leave Inter last summer after he returned from an underwhelming loan at Marseille.
However, the Argentine ended up remaining at the San Siro for the final year of his contract.

Correa has hardly been a regular in the Inter starting eleven this season.
However, the former Lazio forward has made appearances both from the start and as a substitute throughout the campaign.
Reportedly, Joaquin Correa is the favourite to start in attack for Inter against Udinese this Sunday.
Moreover, according to Argentine football reporter German Garcia Grova, Correa could be an improbable candidate for a stay at the Nerazzurri beyond the end of the current season.
He reports that Inter have opened up contract extension talks with the Argentine’s representative.
Should those negotiations not come to anything, Grova expects that Correa could return to his home country of Argentina.
He reports that Estudiantes would be the prime candidates to sign the 30-year-old.
