Inter Milan are keen to sign Como starlet Nico Paz, but they are likely to miss out on his signature, as Real Madrid have the upper hand.
According to Mundo Deportivo via FCInterNews, Los Blancos have decided to activate a buy-back clause for the 21-year-old forward.
Sold to Como in the summer of 2024, Nico Paz looks set to return to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
Indeed, Real Madrid will re-sign the Argentine prodigy at the end of the season for a reported fee of just €10 million.
That amounts to only €3 million more than the fee they received for Paz’s move to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia three years ago.
Paz has become the cornerstone of Como’s remarkable success in Serie A this season.
Indeed, he is one of the reasons why Cesc Fabregas could lead the Lariani to UEFA Champions League qualification.
With ten goals and six assists, he has emerged as one of the most prolific Serie A forwards.
Therefore, Inter had hoped to sign Paz, as they bid to strengthen Cristian Chivu’s attacking options in the summer.
However, Real Madrid will spoil Inter’s plans, as they plan to bring the €65 million rated star back to La Liga.
