This according to Iranian journalist Hatem Shiralizadeh. He reports that the 32-year-old can leave his home country now that international flights have resumed.

Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi has been stuck in Iran for the past few weeks.

With international flights resuming in Iran, Mehdi Taremi, who was unable to leave Tehran as a result of the 12-day war between Iran and Israel, is expected to depart for Italy next week. The former Porto striker had returned to his home country at the start of the month.

But then came the unexpected development of Israeli airstrikes across Iran. Then, Iran retaliated with strikes of their own.

The two countries traded strikes for almost two weeks. Meanwhile, the United States also bombed a number of sites in Iran.

However, the US, Iran, and Israel subsequently agreed upon a ceasefire.

Whilst there was some uncertainty in the immediate wake of the ceasefire agreement, it now looks clear that the hostilities have come to an end.

Therefore, civilian airspace has reopened in Iran.

And this is good news for striker Mehdi Taremi. The Iranian international had been unable to fly to the United States for the Club World Cup – but he can at least return to Italy.

Nevertheless, reports Iranian journalist, a summer transfer away from Inter is likely for Mehdi Taremi.

The 32-year-old had a deeply underwhelming season at Inter. Therefore, the Nerazzurri are looking to offload him this summer.
