The Bianconeri’s opening offer for Mateta was rejected by Palace last week, but according to Tuttosport, the Serie A giants have now made a second proposal.

The report claims that the new Juventus offer is worth €2.5m for a loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy for €30.5m.

The option to buy will become mandatory if Juventus qualify for any European competition this season.

According to the report, Crystal Palace have already decreased their asking price for Mateta, demanding €35m in the January transfer window, €10m less than the price set over the summer.

Juventus have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Mateta over a four-year contract worth €3.5m per season.

Gazzetta and Sky, however, warn that the Bianconeri must find an agreement over agent commissions too.
