Record-time Italian champions Juventus are bracing for a transitional summer after failing to secure Champions League football. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Turin giants are contemplating a shock reunion with Roma forward Matias Soule.

Talks between Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain over Randal Kolo Muani’s return to the Allianz Stadium are already underway. Indeed, the Bianconeri are eager to bring the Frenchman back to the club amid Jonathan David’s uncertain future in Serie A.

Kolo Muani, who spent six months on loan at Juventus in 2025, could become the club’s first summer signing. However, he is unlikely to be Juve’s only attacking acquisition, with Luciano Spalletti looking to bolster his frontline after a disappointing season.

Edon Zhegrova could leave after just one year, with Juventus looking to replace the former Lille winger with a familiar face. Soule, who has lost his starting berth at the Stadio Olimpico under Gian Piero Gasperini, has emerged as a concrete target for Spalletti.

Juventus sold Soule to Roma in the summer of 2024 for a reported fee of €25 million. Despite establishing himself as a regular starter in his first season in Italy’s capital, the 23-year-old’s form fell off a cliff last term, as he managed just six goals in 33 Serie A appearances.

Gasperini has deemed the Argentine forward surplus to requirements, with Roma ready to listen to offers for their out-of-favor star. However, the player has no intention of moving to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career and would prefer to stay in Europe.

A return to Juventus could be on the cards, though the Bianconeri would likely have to spend around €30m to reunite with their former starlet.
