Juventus can tick Ronald Araujo off their list, as reports in Spain today suggest he has reached an agreement to extend his Barcelona contract.
The defender had been the primary name for a January reinforcement and it was hoped they could get the Uruguay international relatively cheap at €30m because his contract only runs to June 2026.
However, it became immediately clear that the Blaugrana had no intention of letting him leave mid-season and were always confident they could convince him to pen a new deal.
This was reflected in the €55m asking price and now El Chiringuito TV report this afternoon that there is a total agreement between Araujo and Barcelona for a contract renewal.
The announcement is expected over the next few days and an agreement was reached quickly because both parties were reportedly eager to get it done.

Juventus have already turned to their next target, Milan defender Fikayo Tomori, who is expected to start against them in Serie A this evening.
That deal is available on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for a total fee of circa €25m.
