At 25, this could be the perfect time for him to settle into a regular role at Craven Cottage. If Pereira does depart, Nelson’s creativity and direct play could help fill that void.

As for Mainoo, the reaction would be overwhelmingly positive. Many Fulham supporters believe the midfield needs youthful energy, and Mainoo ticks every box. A loan, even for a season, could elevate the squad’s dynamism. However, with several clubs circling, expectations should be tempered.

Magassa and Van Ewijk are interesting links, but perhaps not the priority areas. Most fans would argue that the attacking line must be addressed.
