Serie A heavyweights Milan are undergoing a major squad overhaul under new boss Ruben Amorim. According to Calciomercato, four first-team stars could be on their way out by the end of the summer transfer window.

After splashing out around €100 million to secure the services of Goncalo Ramos and Mario Gila, Milan will switch their attention toward the outgoing front. It’s a near-certainty that Rafael Leao will leave the Rossoneri despite joining the squad for a pre-season tour in Australia.

Leao has generated plenty of interest across Europe, but Milan are yet to receive a concrete offer for the Portuguese winger. In addition to the 27-year-old, the 19-time Serie A champions are looking to offload three more first-team players, including the unsettled Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez.

Our take on Milan exodus

Gimenez has faltered in Serie A, and after Ramos’ arrival, he’s likely to find himself out of the project. Milan paid Feyenoord €32 million to sign the 25-year-old and will now try to recoup that figure, with Lazio, Fiorentina, and Porto vying for his signature.

Meanwhile, Youssouf Fofana could also depart San Siro after failing to establish himself as an indispensable figure in midfield. With Amorim keen to reshape his midfield ahead of the new season, the Frenchman could be shown the door.

The same applies to Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who may return to the Premier League. Several severe injuries have derailed his progress at Milan, making a summer departure the most logical outcome for both parties.
