José Mourinho is set to return to Real Madrid after 13 years away, and one of his first transfer targets is reported to be Roma’s Brazilian full-back Wesley, according to reports in Italy.
The former Inter coach is understood to have reached an agreement with the Spanish club, with an official announcement expected after the final day of the La Liga season following Real Madrid’s match against Athletic Bilbao. Mourinho will take charge for the next two seasons.

Having already identified his transfer priorities, Mourinho is reportedly keen to bring Wesley to the Bernabeu. The Brazilian joined Roma last July from Flamengo and has impressed considerably in his debut European season, catching the eye of several top clubs in the process.
According to reports from CalcioMercato.it, Mourinho is a significant admirer of the Brazilian’s technical qualities and intends to push for his signing.
Roma, however, are determined to keep him. The club consider Wesley a cornerstone of their project and have no intention of selling, though as the report notes, the transfer market has a habit of producing surprises.
The prospect of Real Madrid, and Mourinho specifically, coming calling makes any guarantee of his stay complicated, particularly if Champions League football is not secured this season.
Wesley’s future is likely to be one of the defining questions of Roma’s summer, regardless of how the final two matches of the campaign unfold.
