Serie A giants Inter Milan are hellbent on bringing PSV Eindhoven star Ivan Perisic back to San Siro at the tail-end of the January transfer window. 

According to Sky Sport via FCInter1908, the 36-year-old’s return to Serie A hinges on PSV’s fate in the UEFA Champions League.

Inter have been hot on the Croatian’s trail since the beginning of January as they seek a short-term replacement for the injured Denzel Dumfries.

Despite his age, the former Tottenham Hotspur winger would be a decent coup for the Nerazzurri now that Luis Henrique seems on the verge of leaving the club.

PSV are reluctant to sever ties with Ivan Perisic, who has established himself as a cornerstone of Peter Bosz’s side this season.

Indeed, he has tallied five goals and ten assists across all competitions, emerging as an indispensable attacking outlet.

Therefore, Perisic is likely to start in PSV’s must-win Champions League showdown against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Anything other than three points would likely condemn the Peasants to an early European elimination.

However, it would help Inter re-sign Perisic, as PSV won’t negotiate his departure if they reach the knockout stages.
