It remains unclear where Dusan Vlahovic will be playing his football in 2026-27, and though his current club Juventus are hoping to tie him down to a new contract, reports on Thursday claim that talks are at a standstill due to a disagreement over signing bonuses.
Vlahovic has just over one month remaining on his contract with Juventus, which expires on June 30. On his current deal, Vlahovic is the highest-paid player in Serie A, and though Juventus wish to keep hold of the centre-forward, they are aware that they will have to convince him into taking a significant pay cut.
Talks have been ongoing for several weeks, but a definitive agreement has not yet been reached.
According to updates from Calciomercato.com, Vlahovic and his representatives are open to the idea of accepting a reduced salary in order to stay on at Juventus, potentially as low as around €6m per season plus bonuses. It is believed that the Serbian currently earns around €12m net per year.

However, according to Friday’s update, the two parties are still quite a way off in terms of signing bonuses, as Vlahovic and his entourage are reportedly seeking a lump sum of around €8m, while the Bianconeri are reportedly willing to offer €3m.
Meanwhile, several other top clubs around Europe have been rumoured to be interested in signing Vlahovic on a free transfer, including the likes of Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
