Respect between CD Castellón and UD Almería fans in promotion play-off semi-final | OneFootball

The first leg of CD Castellón’s promotion play-off semi-final against UD Almería at Castalia passed in a spirit of respect, despite the high-risk designation.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, hours before kick-off, home and visiting fans mingled around the stadium, sharing streets and bars without incident. The positive mood held through the match.

After the game, many Almería supporters took to social media to praise both the atmosphere inside Castalia and the behaviour of the Castellón crowd.

Some rated the home support as a ten out of ten and placed Castalia among the best atmospheres in Spain’s Segunda División.

Others said they were struck by the pressure generated from the stands and added that, if Almería do not win promotion, they will back Castellón for the rest of the play-offs.
