Ange Postecoglou has called for patience and belief in his methods as Nottingham Forest continue to seek their first win under his stewardship. The Australian coach, who took charge at the City Ground earlier this month following Nuno Espírito Santo’s departure, has overseen a difficult start but insists progress is being made.

Forest’s next test comes on Thursday night against Danish side Midtjylland, marking the club’s first European fixture at the City Ground in nearly three decades. Despite the poor run of results, Postecoglou remains bullish, urging supporters and players alike to “trust the process.”

“It’s only natural that everyone wants to win games,” Postecoglou told reporters, as covered by Sky Sports. “When you’ve been on a run like ours, where we haven’t won for a little while, those discussions become louder. But I still sense the group knows we’re making progress.”

Postecoglou, who memorably guided Tottenham to Europa League glory last season before being dismissed just 16 days later, insists his philosophy will yield results in due course.

“Since I came in, we are obviously doing things differently, and the players have bought into it,” he explained. “They deserve the rewards for that. The only way to achieve it is to stick with what we’re doing. I’m confident the results will come.”
