Inter Milan have emerged as Serie A’s financial leaders, overtaking Juventus thanks to sustained sporting success and growing global commercial strength.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, Inter generated €546 million in revenue last season (excluding player trading), setting a new Italian record and surpassing the €464 million Juventus posted during the Cristiano Ronaldo era.

Historically, Juventus held a commanding financial advantage, particularly during the Andrea Agnelli presidency.

By 2016-17, the Bianconeri generated €412 million compared to Inter’s €269 million, reflecting domestic dominance and consistent Champions League participation. The signing of Ronaldo in 2018 further accelerated Juventus’ commercial growth and global reach.

However, the balance shifted in recent years. Juventus’ absence from European competition and sporting setbacks coincided with Inter’s return to the Champions League elite.

The Nerazzurri capitalised through improved commercial partnerships and international visibility, strengthening their brand value.

The 2024-25 season marked a decisive break. Champions League revenues alone created a gap approaching €100 million, while Inter’s commercial department maximised global exposure.

Juventus remain financially strong and are recovering with a return to Europe, but the current cycle belongs to Inter, whose on-field success has translated into economic supremacy in Italian football.
