Roma’s goal is locked with Mile Svilar. Despite interest from several clubs, including Juventus, the Giallorossi goalkeeper is set to remain in the capital, despite monstrous offers that could shake the Friedkins.
However, the club is considering a second goalkeeper who can develop behind him and has made an attempt on Spezia’s Diego Mascardi.
The 2006-born player finished the season in Serie B, playing 17 games, keeping three clean sheets and conceding 27 goals.
The Ligurian club’s number 12 also made his debut for the Italy Under-21 team this season, courtesy of Silvio Baldini.
Diego Mascardi will move to Torino. As reported by Tuttosport, in the next few hours Torino will finalize the signing of the 2006-born player, one of the best young Italians currently playing in the position.
Several Serie A clubs, including Roma, were interested in the Tuscan goalkeeper, who wanted to secure him for the future, but the deal never materialized.
Napoli, Lecce, Cagliari, and Genoa also had their eye on Mascardi, but he will ultimately move to Torino for approximately €1.6 million.
