A lot has been said about Lamine Yamal and the player’s recent clash with Dani Carvajal after El Clasico.

It was the Real Madrid captain who triggered the situation on the field, gesturing to Yamal publicly that he talks too much.

The Barcelona star was then said to have provoked Carvajal by telling him they would meet again in the tunnel, although it was actually far from the reality as the player actually only warned him to be ready for the reverse fixture.

One of the parties most affected by the entire situation, needless to say, was the Spanish national team, as there was fear that the clash would lead to a divide in the dressing room ahead of the World Cup.

RFEF president speaks

Speaking to the media, RFEF president Rafael Louzan was asked what he thought of the recent clash between Lamine and Carvajal after El Clasico and whether or not it would impact the national team in any capacity.

The president, however, was clear in his idea that what happened on the field would stay on the field.

“I’m not one for drama. It was a heated moment, and that’s where it will stay. They are two players we need very much and two icons of world football.”

He was then asked if he had spoken to Luis de la Fuente about the entire saga and handling the dressing room, to which he said,

“I have not been able to talk to him. I’ll be with him today. It’s football stuff.”

Finally, Louzan opened up on how the direct relationship between Barcelona and Real Madrid helped the situation and would prevent it from escalating.

“We are very calm because there is a direct relationship with the clubs. We take great care of that.”

“We are aware that the players belong to the clubs. Don’t worry, we have very important challenges ahead,” he added.
