Ribéry responds to Domenech after Knysna Netflix film, says he will tell the real story later | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, Franck Ribéry responded on Wednesday night after Netflix released its Knysna documentary, having been implicated by Raymond Domenech. The former France winger replied on social media.

A few hours after Le bus, les Bleus en grève went online, Ribéry hit back at Domenech, who indirectly portrayed him as the mole behind media reports of the Nicolas Anelka row with the coach at the 2010 World Cup.

In the film, Domenech claims that after the 0-2 defeat to Mexico, Ribéry spoke about the half-time altercation in front of journalists, suggesting it had been heated between the coach and Anelka.

Ribéry posted an ironic message addressed to Domenech, saying he loved him and would keep the real story for later, and added camera and clapperboard emojis. The ex-international won 81 caps and scored 16 goals for France.

The documentary revisits a bleak chapter for Les Bleus, including Anelka’s expulsion after his alleged insults, followed by the players’ strike at Knysna when they stayed on the team bus during training in South Africa. Domenech also shares entries from his personal journal, using particularly harsh words for several senior figures.
