Richard Ríos could face longer lay-off than first thought | OneFootball

Richard Ríos could be sidelined for up to a month after being injured in the Taça de Portugal, with a longer lay-off now possible.

He has not played since facing Porto. According to Record, José Mourinho initially indicated the midfielder would only miss Rio Ave, Juventus and Estrela da Amadora, and Benfica have not specified a recovery timeline.

"He has a dislocated shoulder, an injury of four or five weeks," he told Antena 1.

"We hope he recovers well, so he can return without difficulties and without any relapse," the Colombia coach added, saying Ríos will miss the Real Madrid game on 28 January.

This season for Benfica, Ríos has featured in 32 matches, 16 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. Across 2,622 minutes, he has scored three goals and supplied two assists. He is valued at 22 million euros.
