River Plate ‘to consider’ move for Agustín Rossi | OneFootball

River Plate are exploring a move for Flamengo goalkeeper Agustín Rossi with the second 2026 transfer window nearing.

According to ESPN, River are assessing the sale of 21-year-old goalkeeper Santiago Beltrán and have mapped the market for a replacement, with Rossi appealing to the hierarchy.

River are not alone, with Besiktas from Türkiye also tracking the situation. In early 2026 the Istanbul club submitted an offer for the Argentine, which Flamengo rejected.

Flamengo signed Rossi in July 2023 on a free after a pre-contract while he was at Boca Juniors. He is the first-choice keeper and is tied to the club until December 2027.

Since arriving he has played 173 matches for Flamengo, keeping 81 clean sheets. His honours include three Cariocas, one Brasileiro, one Copa do Brasil, one Libertadores and one Supercopa do Brasil.

The second 2026 window runs from 20 July to 11 September, leaving Flamengo roughly two months to reshape their squad for the run-in.
