Roberto De Zerbi has said Olympique de Marseille will not be looking to sign a ‘joker’ following Amine Gouiri confirmed three-week absence due to a shoulder injury. Instead, the Italian revealed that he is ready to place his faith in young striker Robinio Vaz (18) who scored his first goal of the season last night during OM’s 6-2 win over Le Havre.“There will be no transfer or emergency signing. Robinio Vaz is ready to play; he deserves it,” De Zerbi said during a press conference attended by Get French Football News. “I’m not a coach who looks at CVs when picking a team. Robinio is a very credible option. With playing time, young players improve.”The former Sochaux prospect came off the bench in the 64th minute against Le Havre and once again put in a performance full of promise. It involved in Mason Greenwood’s second goal as Vaz also provided the assist for Greenwood’s third, and then got on the scoresheet for the first time this season thanks to an Aubameyang setup.“For now, it works with Auba and Robinio. Soon we’ll have Hamed Junior Traoré back, who can play up front. Mason Greenwood was trained as a central striker and can also fill in,” added De Zerbi on Saturday evening post-match.
