Mathys Tel watched from the stands as Tottenham lost 3-2 to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
The defeat came in front of Tottenham's home support. According to L'Équipe, Roberto de Zerbi said after the match that leaving Tel out was a technical selection.
