Gianluca Di Marzio reports that former Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi is now open to considering a five-year contract proposal from Tottenham Hotspur, who are pushing hard for the Italian after confirming Igor Tudor’s departure in the last 24 hours. Discussions are set to follow to try to reach an agreement.

De Zerbi’s stance could be shifting, as until now he had only considered a Premier League return on the condition that Spurs stay up next season.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion head coach left Marseille in February after an eventful 18-month spell that returned the club to the Champions League. This season brought wild inconsistency and fluctuating form amid tensions around the club.

He had previously been linked to Tottenham following the departure of Thomas Frank, before Spurs turned to another former OM boss, Igor Tudor, who took the reins for only 44 days.

Tottenham are still yet to win a game in 2026 and sit 17th in the Premier League table.
