Liverpool will entertain West Ham United at Anfield this Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to earn a hard-fought 1-0 win away at Nottingham Forest recently, so they would be eager to keep their good form going in the league.

Arne Slot will set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his first team for this clash. Andy Robertson could play from the start of this game, while Milos Kerkez makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence

Alisson Becker will feature in goal for the Reds after he kept a clean sheet in his last outing. Ibrahima Konate will operate alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool backline as they focus on keeping the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.

Dominik Szoboszlai will once again fill in as the right-back, while Andy Robertson hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will try to go forward and express themselves inside the West Ham half at every chance they can get.

Joe Gomez and Milos Kerkez will be named on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Curtis Jones and Ryan Gravenberch will anchor the midfield for the Merseyside club as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and creating some inviting chances in the final third.

The gifted trio of Cody Gakpo, Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah will play just ahead of them as part of the Liverpool attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if the Reds are to secure a convincing win this weekend.

Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha will make up the numbers on the bench as they await their opportunity to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Hugo Ekitike will spearhead Slot’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a real threat in the final third.

Federico Chiesa will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Liverpool are in need of a goal by then.
