Robin Risser on first France call-up for World Cup, a dream come true | OneFootball

Robin Risser has been named in the France squad by Didier Deschamps for the World Cup, which runs from 11 June to 19 July. The RC Lens goalkeeper expressed pride after the announcement.

"It is a lot of pride, I cannot find the words and I have not taken it in yet. This was among my dreams and goals, and tonight a dream is coming true." He was speaking to TF1.

"We must first finish the season well, then I can look ahead to the tournament."

Manu Koné also spoke after learning of his call-up. "When I found out, I was very happy. It is a great source of pride to be called up for the World Cup."

"I hope we can have a very good tournament, especially for the coach. I think back to moments when I was little... It is very good news, I am happy."

"It is a very great pride, I had been waiting a very long time. Being part of this squad is incredible. I think of my family and friends, it is happiness for everyone and I hope we will have a great tournament. We keep the faith."
