Roma is wasting no time in raising the stakes for Giacomo Raspadori, offering a significantly higher offer than previous offers.
With Atlético Madrid continuing to keep the door open, the Giallorossi club has raised its offer to €20 million overall and is now aiming to close the deal in the coming days, attempting to bring the striker to Trigoria to strengthen the attack.
The goal, writes La Gazzetta dello Sport, is to hand the striker over to Gasperini as soon as possible.
Negotiations with Atlético Madrid are very close, but some details remain to be finalized, particularly regarding the deal’s terms.
Roma has proposed a €2 million loan with an option to buy set at €18 million, but Atlético would prefer to make this option a mandatory one, or at least make it conditional on achieving specific sporting objectives, such as a minimum appearance rate of between 60% and 65%.
Today could be a crucial day, when Raspadori will have a face-to-face meeting with Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone. This meeting will be crucial in clarifying the future of the striker, who has seen his playing time reduced to just 406 minutes this season.
The player will seek explanations for his limited use, hoping to find a solution that will allow him to earn more starting spot.
