Roma’s summer campaign is starting to take shape, with the club gradually formalizing its plans for the upcoming season, including a training camp in Trigoria, a retreat in Wales, and a series of friendlies.
As part of their preseason preparations, the Giallorossi have also announced a prestigious test against Brighton.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s team will play at the AMEX Stadium on August 8th at 4:00 PM Italian time, in a match that represents a significant test of fitness and tactical mechanisms ahead of the new season.
This is only the club’s third match in England: before that, matches against Cardiff and Newport will be played on August 1st and 4th, respectively.
The return to Brighton also holds symbolic significance. Roma are returning to play at the Seagulls’ ground two years after meeting in the Europa League round of 16.
At the time, Daniele De Rossi was on the Giallorossi bench, with the English side prevailing 1-0 in the return leg at home.
This result, however, was overshadowed by Roma’s resounding victory in the first leg at the Olimpico, where a resounding four-goal victory effectively sealed qualification for the quarterfinals, turning the match in England into a mere formality in terms of qualification.
