Evan Ferguson earned praise for his mentality after completing his first full 90 minutes for Roma in a 1-0 win over Como.
The on-loan Albion forward made his 16th appearance across domestic league and Europe. He kept his place after two goals at Celtic in the Europa League, and although he did not score, he completed the match. Before this, he had been substituted seven times and used eight times from the bench.
Gian Piero Gasperini said supporters should recognise the professionalism and desire Ferguson showed, adding he produced what is expected of a Roma player and that such spirit brings the fans with you.
"He's young. Sometimes you wait for weeks, then you find the right key to get into their mindset and they turn things around. He scored two goals in Glasgow. He didn't score tonight but he was always there. We hope he can improve but if he plays with this physicality, which is his best quality right now, he can do very well." He told DAZN.
Speculation in Italy has suggested Roma could look to cut short his season-long loan, though as of last Friday it was understood there had been no contact between the clubs about that.
