Roma has no intention of paying compensation to release D’Amico from Atalanta | OneFootball

There’s great anticipation for the official announcement of Tony D’Amico as Roma’s new sporting director.

The Giallorossi, at Gian Piero Gasperini’s express request, have decided to focus on the former Atalanta player as the man to lead the transfer market.

He will replace Frederic Massara in the coming days, but first the issue that will definitively free him from the “Dea” must be resolved.

This isn’t easy, because according to Sky Sport, the Friedkins have no intention of paying compensation.

D’Amico remains contractually tied to Atalanta, despite the Bergamo club’s official departure and his replacement with Cristiano Giuntoli (who is already active). Therefore, we’ll have to wait a few more hours or days.
