Roma has identified Nicolò Tresoldi as the right candidate to serve as Malen’s assistant.
The Club Brugge striker has clear ideas and has already made his decision: he wants to wear the Giallorossi jersey.
The 2004-born player has already given the green light to a move to the capital, confident he can work and grow under Gian Piero Gasperini.
Tresoldi finished the season with extraordinary numbers: 23 goals and 9 assists in 3,315 minutes. He also made a positive impact in the Champions League, scoring three goals in 10 games against Monaco, Barcelona, and Atlético Madrid.
Gasperini believes Tresoldi is the ideal player to strengthen the attack.
As Corriere dello Sport reports, Roma and the player have reached a basic agreement; the next step will be to reach an agreement between the clubs.
Negotiations could begin with an offer of around €25 million, a figure that could convince the Belgian club to come to the negotiating table. Roma, however, must first overcome the obstacle of Artem Dovbyk.
The Ukrainian striker isn’t part of Gasperini’s plan and is sought by Genoa. De Rossi continues to push for the former Girona player, who would be happy to work again with DDR, the coach who brought him to the capital.
