With just over 24 hours to go before the winter transfer window closes, Roma are working to secure Gasperini’s much-desired left-back.
In recent days, their main target has become Bryan Zaragoza, a 2001-born Spaniard currently on loan at Celta Vigo but owned by Bayern Munich.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, in recent hours the Giallorossi have continued to work tirelessly on negotiations with Bayern Munich for the Spaniard regarding the terms of the obligation to buy.
In fact, the Giallorossi can only close the deal on loan with an obligation to buy under certain conditions, and it is precisely on these conditions that negotiations continue with the Bavarians, who, acknowledging that Celta Vigo would not exercise the obligation to buy that would soon come into force for Zaragoza, have opened the door to a transfer to Roma.
Roma’s management are confident that the deal will go through, and that Gasperini will therefore have a reinforcement in attack following the departures of Bailey and Baldanzi.
