With the arrival of the summer transfer window, there could be a change in midfield.

While Chivu’s Inter are interested in Manu Koné, with the Nerazzurri ready to return after last summer’s failed attempt, the Giallorossi management has identified Ismael Koné as the ideal candidate to bolster Gian Piero Gasperini’s midfield.

According to Il Resto del Carlino, Roma has joined a long list of suitors that also includes AC Milan, Juventus, Napoli, and Inter Milan.

Having arrived at Sassuolo from Marseille last summer, the 2002-born player has had an excellent season: 27 appearances, 26 of them starting, and 5 goals.

Koné has demonstrated tactical versatility, adapting to every midfield position, a trait that would fit perfectly with the Giallorossi coach’s demands.

The deal, however, is complex. Sassuolo recently signed the player for approximately €10 million, locking him in until 2030. To even begin negotiations, they will need to offer at least triple that amount.
