They could still postpone the whole thing to 2027 if the bids don’t satisfy them, although it’d hamstring them for two further windows. It’d be quite the rapid fall for the Argentine if he really headed to Saudi Arabia after he was welcomed with much fanfare just two years ago and has been solid for the most part. Still, he’s the most replaceable among their centerpieces.
