The Argentine fullback recently left Lyon and is now a free agent at 32 years of age.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have contacted his entourage and made steady progress in their talks with Tagliafico’s reps.

The Argentine defender can play both central defender and left back and would arrive on a free transfer.

The unknown factor is the length of the player’s contract, as he turns 33 in August.
