Roma midfielder Manu Koné out of France squad through injury | OneFootball

AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné (24) will miss out on France’s US tour after picking up a hamstring injury last night during AS Roma’s Europa League RO16 exit against Serie A rivals Bologna, according to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins. Koné was called up by Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps on Thursday in a 26-man squad for France’s US tour.

During the international break, France will go stateside and play a couple of friendly games to get an early feel of America before the 2026 World Cup. Les Bleus will play against Brazil at Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium on Thursday 26th March and against Colombia, three days later, at Landover’s Northwest Stadium.

With Koné out of the squad, Deschamps is expected to recall Khéphren Thuram, who would link up with his older brother, Inter Milan centre-forward Marcus Thuram, within the squad.
