Fabio Silva could return to the forefront of Roma’s transfer strategy ahead of the winter transfer window.

The Portuguese striker, who moved to Borussia Dortmund over the summer, is having a difficult start to the season: just 128 minutes on the pitch and an increasingly marginal role in the German side’s rotation.

This situation could push him to consider leaving as early as January, thus opening up interesting scenarios for several Italian clubs.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Roma is among the clubs most closely monitoring the situation.

The Giallorossi, seeking a new offensive addition to increase their options and depth, could make a move if a loan deal were to open up.

Gian Piero Gasperini also likes Silva’s profile, having already identified him as a potential target during the summer transfer window thanks to his technical ability and ability to move across the entire attacking front.

It’s not just Roma, however: AC Milan are also keeping an eye on the 2002-born striker, who continues to monitor his name along with that of Franculino.

The race for the young Portuguese talent could therefore heat up in the coming weeks, with several clubs ready to seize the opportunity if Dortmund decides to open up to a temporary transfer.
