Roma have submitted plans for a new stadium, with the club saying in a statement on Tuesday that the project could be operational for Euro 2032, which Italy is co-hosting with Türkiye.
The venue is planned for the north-east of Rome. The technical and economic feasibility study is the final step before the executive design that would start construction.
The concept outlines an iconic design inspired by Roman tradition, combined with modern lines and a strong connection to the local area. It also proposes targeted measures to improve urban mobility.
Roma currently share the Stadio Olimpico with city rivals Lazio, though both clubs have long wanted their own grounds. The Giallorossi, owned by the American Friedkin family, have been working for months on a stadium in the Pietralata district.
The condition of Italian stadiums, many of them obsolete, remains a point of contention in the build-up to Euro 2032.
