Roma talent Bah out for 9 months after another devastating injury | OneFootball

Roma midfielder Muhammed Bah was stretchered off during the 4-1 friendly defeat to Cardiff City, and it’s confirmed he will be out for circa 9 months after knee surgery.

The initial impression was already worrying when the player crumpled to the ground in the opening half-hour of the match in Wales on Saturday afternoon.

He was distraught and stretchered off the field in tears, well aware that this was another serious injury.

Bah had already suffered a similar injury in January 2024, leaving him out of action for practically an entire year when rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Now the 19-year-old has had exactly the same diagnosis, but with the right knee.

The Gambian teenager will have surgery performed by Dr Georg Ahlbaumer and is expected to be sidelined for at least nine months.

It is a nightmare start to the Roma youngster’s career, especially just a couple of months after he extended his contract with the club to June 2028.
