Paulo Dybala is very close to staying in the capital.
The Argentine star’s contract expires on June 30th, but every day is now a good time to extend his agreement with the Giallorossi.
Roma will be rewarded with a Joya once the Champions League is secured. Carlos Novel and the Roman club have committed to renegotiating a contract with a much different figure, given that Dybala will no longer be able to continue earning approximately €8 million net per season.
Roma’s offer is as follows: a one-year deal at €2-2.5 million with substantial bonuses easily attainable based on performance on the pitch, namely goals, appearances, and team objectives. There is also the option for a further extension.
Paulo Dybala wants to wear the Roma jersey, and Gasperini would like to invest in him for at least another year.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, Ryan Friedkin will play a key role in the coming hours, having arrived in Trigoria and sensing the Grugliasco coach’s enthusiasm at the prospect of working with the Argentine star again.
Dybala wants to play in the Champions League with Roma, a competition in which he could continue to partner Malen.
The announcement of Dybala’s contract renewal could be made as early as Monday, after the match against Verona. Much to Gasperini’s delight.
