Barcelona’s 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad not only sent them to the top of the La Liga table but also marked the first-team debut of 17-year-old Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernandez.
The youngster was handed a surprise start by Hansi Flick, making the night unforgettable for the Galician talent.
Speaking after the match, Dro could hardly hide his emotions.
“I’m happy, very happy. It’s incredible. When the manager told me I was a starter at the hotel, I couldn’t believe it.
“I was nervous… An official debut is something unique, and the first time is very special, but then I calmed down,” he admitted.
The midfielder also expressed gratitude for the support he received from his teammates and coaching staff.
“The players and the coach reassured me, they told me to do what I do well in training, and that gave me confidence.”
Dro wasn’t the only young player reflecting on the match. Roony Bardghji, who also started against Real Sociedad, shared his excitement about playing at Montjuïc.

The 19-year-old winger stressed the importance of the win, saying, “I’m very happy with the win.
“It’s a fantastic feeling, it was an important victory, and it’s good to finish the match with three points.”
Despite conceding early, Barcelona fought back to secure a vital three points and maintain their momentum in La Liga. Bardghji reflected on the team’s resilience:
“The start wasn’t easy after conceding a goal, but we believed in ourselves and turned the result around.
“We have to keep winning and have confidence in ourselves. We’re excited for the upcoming matches,” he concluded.
