Rotherham will have Leeds United loanee Harry Gray available this weekend after a precautionary call around a recent dead leg.

Since joining in January, the 17-year-old has made 11 appearances and scored two goals. He often completes games, but was withdrawn with 20 minutes left in the 1-0 loss at Huddersfield on Saturday.

"He's fine," said head coach Matt Hamshaw. "I think we did the right thing bringing him off [at Huddersfield]. I didn't really want to, if I'm going to be honest, but leaving him on could have led to something a lot more extensive." He was speaking to the Rotherham Advertiser.

The stance keeps the teenager’s welfare at the forefront while the Millers sit third-bottom in League One, three points from safety.

Gray scored twice in his first four Rotherham games, then went seven outings without a goal. The Millers have managed only two in that same run and are among League One’s lowest scorers.

With 11 matches remaining, keeping Gray fit looks central to their survival push. Bolton visit the New York Stadium on Saturday, currently third and tracking for the play-offs.
