Rotherham United continue their search to appoint Matt Hamshaw's successor, as the Millers target promotion from League Two next season.
Rotherham United will be looking to win promotion back into League One at the first time of asking this season, with the Millers' relegation into the fourth tier being confirmed earlier this year.
The Yorkshire-based side have endured a forgetful league campaign this term, and will be playing in League Two for the first time since the 2012/13 season.
That particular season was one to remember though, as the Millers then went on to achieve back-to-back promotions, much to the delight of the club's supporters.
It's certainly going to be a big job to rebuild ahead of their new spell in the fourth tier of English football, and that includes finding a new manager, following Matt Hamshaw's dismissal back in March 2026.
Lee Clark is currently in charge on an interim basis, although it remains to be seen whether he'll be offered the job on a permanent basis. There's plenty going on off-the-field as well, with Swiss investors eyeing a potential takeover of the club, as they were present at the Millers' recent 1-1 draw with Reading.
We'll take you through all the latest Rotherham United managerial news from the last week.

The Rotherham Advertiser have recently reported that former England boss, Steve McClaren is being lined up for talks with Millers chairman Tony Stewart.
However, it's believed that any talks are to do with a role above the manager, which has hinted that it could be a Director of Football role, instead of being in the dugout.
McClaren has plenty of experience as a manager, and was most recently in charge of the Jamaican national team, although his time in that role reached a conclusion in 2025.
Interim Rotherham boss Lee Clark has already reacted to the news of McClaren's potential arrival, and stated that he's happy to work with anybody, and highlighted the former England manager's experience as something to potentially lean on.

Rotherham had previously been linked with a move for Grimsby Town boss David Artell, with the 45-year-old catching the eye in the fourth tier of English football.
Artell has been with Grimsby since 2023, and has taken them into the League Two play-offs this season, where he'll be aiming for promotion into League One.
Journalist Alan Nixon has revealed that Artell has been ruled out of the running for the Rotherham job, and it seems highly likely that he'll stick with Grimsby, especially if they're to win promotion this term.

Lee Clark has issued an update on the club's search for Hamshaw's permanent successor, with both journalists and supporters questioning when progress will be made.
Speaking to the BBC, Clark couldn't give a timescale on when a permanent manager would be appointed, but labelled it as a 'big rebuilding job' with Rotherham at the New York Stadium.
The Millers will start their new League Two campaign in August, and the Rotherham fanbase will be desperate to see their side make a positive start to the season, as momentum is certainly needed in the fourth tier, especially when it's not a given that they'll return to the third tier at the first time of asking.
