Rots caps FC Twente comeback to move up to 12th

FC Twente beat PEC Zwolle 3-1 at De Grolsch Veste to collect their first league win of the season and climb to 12th.

Elias Sorensen gave Zwolle the lead in the 21st minute. Daouda Weidmann levelled (38.) with a low strike after a pass by Sondre Ørjasæter.

Jasper Schendelaar kept the visitors in it with eight saves. FC Twente controlled the game with 27 attempts and 68.6% possession.

After the restart, Dylan Mbayo put through his own net (59.), and Daan Rots drove in the clincher from outside the box (69.) via Ramiz Zerrouki.

Sorensen later departed injured and was replaced by Odysseus Velanas (66.).

Next, FC Twente host Qarabağ in the UEFA Conference League. Zwolle visit Heerenveen in the Eredivisie.
