Belgium have named their 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, with French coach Rudi Garcia selecting a strong mix of experienced stars and established internationals as the Red Devils prepare for another tilt at the tournament.
Big names such as Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid, Kevin De Bruyne of Napoli, Leandro Trossard of Arsenal and Jérémy Doku of Manchester City all feature.
There is also a place for Romelu Lukaku, despite the striker’s limited minutes this season due to injury. The 33-year-old has been working his way back to full fitness and remains a key figure for his country, with an impressive World Cup scoring record.
Belgium head to their fourth straight World Cup appearance, aiming to go one better than 2018, when they finished third after beating England in the third and fourth match.
However, there were some notable absentees, with several younger or injury-hit players missing out as Garcia opted for experience and reliability.
Belgium have been drawn as top seeds in Group G alongside Egypt, Iran and New Zealand, with their campaign set to begin on 15 June against Iran in Seattle. Expectations will be high once again as they chase a first-ever World Cup title.
