Rui Costa seals Diana Costa’s Benfica deal to 2029 | OneFootball

Benfica have extended forward Diana Costa’s contract until the summer of 2029, with Rui Costa agreeing the deal.

"It is a feeling of great pride and recognition of my work. This is the club of my heart and I am very proud to sign for Benfica," she told BTV.

The 20-year-old, regarded as one of the leading talents of her generation, has been with the club since 2023/24. She made her senior debut on 23 November 2025 in the Taça de Portugal against Clube de Albergaria.

She spent the second half of 2025/26 on loan at Racing Power. "It was a good experience because I was with more experienced players who helped me settle in the team and the Liga BPI. It was a pity I got injured, but I am strong now. I hope to help Benfica as much as possible."

Fully recovered from injury, she is set to join pre-season when it begins on 22 July. "I want to win more titles for Benfica and to keep integrating better with the team over time."
