Rumors persist: Real Madrid is reportedly planning a massive offer for Olise through an intermediary | OneFootball

Speculation about Michael Olise’s possible departure shows no signs of abating. Now there’s even talk of a world-record-breaking offer that could be on its way to FC Bayern.

The latest debate was sparked by a report from transfer reporter Ekrem Konur. According to the report, Real Madrid is said to be reorienting its efforts to sign the attacking player from the German record champions—and is doing so through intermediaries. This roundabout approach is intended to put the club in a position to act without officially revealing itself. However, the report does not specify exactly who these intermediaries are.

Particularly explosive are the figures Konur brings into play. The Spanish club is said to be offering FC Bayern around 222 million euros as a fixed transfer fee plus approximately 38.5 million euros in potential bonuses. The total amount would thus climb to just under 260 million euros—a figure that would shatter every previous transfer record.

To put this in perspective: Neymar remains the most expensive soccer player in history. Paris Saint-Germain paid FC Barcelona approximately 222 million euros for the Brazilian superstar in the summer of 2017. A transfer fee for Olise at the reported amount would therefore significantly exceed that mark.

Real Madrid issued a statement regarding Olise

This interest in Olise isn’t entirely new—and Real has already made its position clear on the matter. The Spanish league runner-up responded to the circulating rumors with an official statement in June. “In light of reports in various media outlets regarding our club’s alleged interest in FC Bayern Munich player Michael Olise, Real Madrid would like to clarify that there has been no contact—neither direct nor indirect—with the player in question, his representatives, or those close to him,” the club wrote.

The Madrid club also emphasized its “excellent institutional relations with FC Bayern Munich.” However, the denial failed to quell the rumor mill—speculation has continued unabated ever since.

At Säbener Straße, officials have repeatedly emphasized in recent weeks that they are firmly counting on Olise. The 24-year-old Frenchman has a contract with FC Bayern through 2029, and there is no buyout clause. This puts the Munich club in a comfortable position.

Whether Real Madrid is actually going all out for Olise remains purely a rumor at this point—no official offer has been made.
