Van Wyk adds to his assist tally

South African forward Antonio Van Wyk registered an assist in his team's 4-1 defeat to RB Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga on Sunday.

The former Stellenbosch FC man set up Kingstone Mutandwa for his side's equalizer in the 34th minute, but it wasn't enough to prevent a loss.

Van Wyk has scored one goal and provided five assists in 14 matches across all competitions for SV Ried this season.

Overall, the 23-year-old pacey winger has chipped in with two strikes and seven assists in 32 matches since completing a move to Austria.

Van Wyk signed for Ried in September 2024 on a deal that runs until June 2026, with an option to extend by a further 12 months.

He has been joined by former Kaizer Chiefs captain Yusuf Maart, who sealed a move to Ried during the off-season.
