Sadiq on Valencia’s European aim: 'I hope so' | OneFootball

According to Superdeporte, Valencia completed their pre-season medicals on Saturday, with Sadiq the day’s main focus. Asked about the chance of pushing for Europe, the Nigerian forward replied, "I hope so".

The checks had started on Thursday, and Sadiq did not shy away from setting targets for the new campaign.

Also undergoing assessment were Mestalla players Aaron Mayol, Miguel Monferrer, Vicent Abril and Raúl Jiménez.

The youngsters expressed enthusiasm and ambition after the tests. Mayol said they are there to show who they are, while Jiménez was eager to start, believed it could be a good year, and noted the group are motivated.

With the medicals complete for the whole squad, Valencia are due to begin pre-season on Monday with their first training session at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna.
