On Wednesday night, SAFiel announced a temporary committee to follow the progress of its Sociedade Anônima do Futebol proposal at Corinthians.
According to Meu Timao, the Comitê de Acompanhamento SAFiel, CAS, has six members, will monitor discussions, issue regular updates to supporters and serve as a channel with the board, and none of its members holds political ties or influence inside the club.
The committee comprises Marília Ruiz, Rogério Maldonado, Bambu, Sergio Rebollo, Marcelo Djian, and SAFiel founders Carlos Teixeira and Eduardo Salusse.
Late last month, the group criticised a Cori meeting for not debating its proposal, after Osmar Stabile had said days earlier that the topic would be discussed.
SAFiel presented the plan to Stabile on 2 June, seeking R$ 2.5 billion, potentially R$ 3 billion, to pay football debts, invest in sport, upgrade infrastructure and improve governance.
Supporters would have direct influence via investments from R$ 250 with limits per CPF, while external investors could buy non-voting shares if required.
If SAFiel assumed control, identity elements would be protected, with name, symbols, colours and crest off limits. In cases of essential breaches or serious mismanagement, Corinthians could trigger a clause to retake football operations.
The deal would still need approvals from statutory bodies, an independent investigation by a third party, regulatory clearances and a final vote by members in a General Assembly. A staged timeline has been set out, concluding after one year.
